Things to know before booking:

Palm Springs is an oasis in the desert, so temperatures can rise into the 100s in summer months. We are lucky enough to have a bit of a break from the desert sun in the late afternoon-evenings, as it sets behind the amazing mountain to the West of us. Winds can also pick up to 50mph during some parts of the year, so we remind you to please be mindful to close umbrellas and secure belongings before they fly away. We've seen a unicorn float or two breeze by the window!

Note that if there is a dangerous wind advisory by The Weather Channel during your stay, we offer a free cancellation anytime before check-in. *must be sourced by weather.com in our area during your dates.

Our house is the newest house in Palm Springs' oldest organized neighborhood! Most of the city's black population have been living here in the Desert Highland Gateway Estates since 1967. While we are one of the only flipped houses on our friendly cul-de-sac, developers and artists are starting to discover how much of a gem this neighborhood is with its huge lots, mountain views and convenient location.

The Gladys is all about relaxing and having fun in the sun. We are fortunate enough to live in an area where neighbors look out for each other, and don't mind the noise when you're hanging out by the pool. We find it extra important to reciprocate that respect and privacy by being understanding neighbors as well (they'll always extend an invite to their BBQs and parties). Funny story: we heard knocking at 11p while we were watching a movie on the outside projector *ask us about that*, and thought it was a complaint. Our neighbor wanted to let us know we had left our car trunk open and to have a great time! THAT is our neighborhood.

You also will find security cameras on the outside of the home.

We're only an 8 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs where you can find pool parties, amazing restaurants, shopping and more! Check out some of our recommendations here. Being nestled in between Mt. San Jacinto and the windmills not only means amazing views from our top terraces and being close to hiking trails, but also that we're only a three minute drive from the famous Aerial Tramway and Palm Springs Visitor Center. A fashionista? We're the closest Palm Springs neighborhood to the amazing outlet stores in Cabazon and only thirty minutes from El Paseo Dr in Palm Desert. We spend a lot of time in this home and absolutely love the city. Please don't hesitate to reach out for other recommendations on food, bars, vintage and shopping. We know them well.
